Because of chronic knee and shoulder pain, I have received regular massages for the past five years.  Adria is one of the most skilled massage therapists I have worked with during this time.

 From the first massage I had with Adria, I realized she could help me make lasting changes.  As a result of working regularly with Adria, I no longer have the constant pain and muscle tightness that used to severely limit my activity.  She has also helped me be able to do exercises prescribed in physical therapy - physical therapists in the past told me that tight IT Bands and quads conributed to knee pain, but they were never able to release them properly.  A few sessions with Adria released the tight muscles so that I can stretch and strengthen them as prescribed by my physical therapist.

 Adria is trained in a wide variety of masage techniques and varies the techniques she uses in each massage to best meet my priorities.  She listens to me - both what I say and what my body communicates non-verbally.

Finally, Adria has helped me to help myself.  She has taught me stretches and self-massage techniques to treat myself in order to supplement what she has done, in between our sessions and to help me when I travel.
